BOC’s air packages support a wide range of industries and applications.
Industrial gread Air gas cylinders are filled to 230 bar and like all BOC cylinder packages we supply options to support customer usage levels or particular working environments and applications. Please view the compressed air cylinder size chart above.
Compressed air supports combustion and when combined with a fuel gas produces a flame with a lower temperature than an oxy-fuel flame.
An air-fuel flame is ideal for brazing and soldering lower-temperature alloys and can also be used in carbon coating processes as it offers effective levels of adjustment, enabling the thickness of the carbon coat to be varied.
Industrial air must never be used for medical purposes.
- Odourless, colourless and non-toxic
- Does not burn but supports combustion
- When it is combined with a fuel gas, produces a flame with a lower temperature than an oxy-fuel flame
- The air-fuel flame is suitable for brazing and soldering applications with lower-temperature alloys
- Used in preference to oxygen in the carbon coating processes because it gives a greater level of adjustment, allowing the thickness of the carbon coat to be varied
- 230bar cylinders
